Creativity + Action = Happiness & Change
I finished a proposal yesterday for a long time client. I have to say I enjoyed it more than many others I have done in the past. Since we have been more and more successful at Grass Shack, it really has freed me to concentrate on creativity and engagment for meetings. Sure, we had to dive into what equipment, stage sizes, labor, union labor and the almighty driver of most of these RFP routines the budget. But in this particular proposal they had no venue no set city, incomplete small agenda and three days to complete it. So the usual back and forth budget dance wasnt happening. (it will soon) It was actually very freeing so we went into a creative run instead. We looked deeply into the best story and ideas of what went around the theme. How we could get the audience to be engaged right away and keep them engaged and moved to some action. (selling, networking, learning) It was a thrilling couple of days. Honestly, I could care less if we got the shows. (that is a lie- we can always use more business- fingers & toes crossed) But the creative exercise was beautiful.
I also am taking a class from Grumo.tv on putting together a animated demo video for my new startup company called AvforPlanners. It also has been a delight coming up with the story in a concise, fun way to educate and entertain.
Watching David Kelly was a sudden reminder why I so was looking forward to work today.
Take a moment and watch this video. Also do something creative this week. If you can do something creative while helping someone -even better!
If you would like to see my demo video creation email me at Meetingspodcast@gmail.com I will send you the rough draft.
